•  EPDM vs Nitrile (NBR): While Nitrile is the best choice for oil and fuel contact, it has very poor resistance to weather and sunlight. EPDM outlasts Nitrile significantly in any outdoor or water based application.

• EPDM vs Silicone: Silicone can handle higher temperatures but is very soft and easily torn. EPDM offers much better mechanical strength and abrasion resistance, making it better for moving parts.
